Positive Pottery for Community Groups

2.png

A new ceramic workshop open to community groups within the Ards and North Down Area.

Research shows that participating in pottery workshops can have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing. The very tactile nature of pottery helps participants to relax and de-stress, calming the heartbeat and focusing the mind on the creative process.

Location: Ards Art Centre. Dates ongoing. Time: Mondays, 5 - 6:30pm. Duration: Up to 6 weeks.

The positive pottery workshops are facilitated by ceramicist Sandra Robinson and feedback from our pilot project with International Women in North Down was extremely positive:

“I found the experience very grounding and calming”

“So therapeutic and enjoyable for me”

“It was a great way to de-stress”

Booking:

If you are a community group (large or small) that could really benefit from a sixweek course in pottery then please send a short email expressing your interest to amy.mckelvey@ardsandnorthdown.gov.uk
