Sculpting Cats and Dogs in Clay

This step by step day class will provide you with an in-depth introduction into sculpting a dog or cat in clay.

We’ll explore the proportions, anatomy and the shapes that build the structure of the animal and look into how to create character and approach fur through step-by-step demonstrations and 1-2-1 advice.

Sandra Robinson trained at the Royal College of Art, London before returning to Northern Ireland to teach ceramics, portraiture and painting.  Alongside her own figurative practice, she creates two and three-dimensional portraits to commission.

Photographs and printouts will be provided


Day 1: Building Form and basic features

Day 2: Fur and refinement.
